How the quiz works
You answer 10 questions about labels, plans, exclusivity and how you feel after seeing them. You get a situationship score from 0 to 100%: the higher it is, the more your relationship looks like a situationship.
What is a situationship?
A situationship is more than a friendship and less than a relationship: you act like a couple sometimes, but there is no label, no clear future and no promise to be exclusive. It can be fun and easy. It often becomes painful when one person wants more. Read our full guide: what is a situationship.
The clearest signs
- You never talked about what you are, or they change the subject.
- Plans are last minute, often late at night.
- You haven't met their friends or family.
- You don't know if you're exclusive.
- No future talk, not even next month.
- You feel anxious more than happy after seeing them.
How to get out of a situationship (or turn it into more)
- Ask one clear question: "Are we exclusive?" or "What are we doing?" Then listen to the answer, not to the hope.
- Watch actions for two weeks. Real interest shows up as plans, effort and consistency.
- Decide your limit. If you want a relationship and they don't, staying usually hurts more over time.
Your chat shows the pattern
Situationships have a clear texting shape: one person starts most conversations, messages come late at night, and replies get slower after you see each other. The Cringe shows who texts first, average reply times and, with the AI report, an interest level for each of you.
## FAQHow long does a situationship last?
There is no rule. Many last a few weeks to a few months. Some last years, often because one person hopes it will change.
Can a situationship turn into a relationship?
Yes, sometimes, when both people want it and say it clearly. If only one person wants more, it rarely changes on its own.
Am I in a relationship or a situationship?
If you have a label, plans, exclusivity and you feel secure, it's a relationship. If most of that is missing and you spend a lot of time guessing, it's probably a situationship.
Is a situationship bad?
Not always. It works when both people want the same thing. It hurts when one person wants more and stays quiet about it.
